Francois Craenhals

Francois Craenhals (1926 - 2004) is known for Comics.

Francois Craenhals’ first successful series featured the iconic characters of Pom & Teddy.  In 1954, after two stories by Remy & Ghislaine and Pom & Teddy’s first adventure, Craenhals was already at the top of his game.  

Anticipating the coloring to come, he liked to work on his inking, applying to the paper beautiful shadows and subtle linework which reinforced the three-dimensional effects of his drawing.  A work that foreshadows what he will do twenty years later on Chevalier Ardent.
